Collaborative learning leads to better retention and application of what you have learned. This is not only because explaining what you have learned to somebody else requires you to have a good understanding of it, but also because the others may offer perspectives on the subject you did not think of or may ask you critical questions that require you to think more about what you have learned.
So, use HPE-bot to seek that feedback, ask for alternative explanations. Offer explanations of your understanding and let the AI ask you critical questions about the explanation. Ask the Bot to play the individual members of your virtual tutorial group. For example:
I am a second-year medical student and we are currently learning about shoulder impingement syndrome. You need to play my tutorial group of 4 different second-year medical students, John, Jim, Karen and Mary. I will give a summary and explanation of what I understand of a shoulder impingement syndrome, and you will play John, Jim, Karen and Mary each individually. When I have given my summary and explanation, you must give me feedback, offer additional relevant information and ask me critical questions. Challenge my knowledge. Here my explanation: <enter your explanation here>.
You can then enter your summary of what you want to discuss (like shoulder impingement syndrome in the example) and read the feedback, additions and critical questions of your 'group members'.
You can do this as often as you like.
